Job Description - Project Manager level III

Project Manager:

Minimum Qualifications: Formal education or training required; certificate/licenses required; number of years and type of prior experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in related discipline with specialized leadership training and/or demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities through previous experience and education
  • Experience with industry standards in project management and development methodologies (PMBOK, MSF, SEI, Agile Methods, RUP, etc.)
  • Two (2) to five (5) years experience managing projects
  1. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Verbal and non-verbal communication, reasoning, and computer programs, plus other abilities, such as interpersonal, organizational, planning, customer service, and analytical skills.

Exposure to/awareness of the Project Management Institute's PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge)

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Project, Excel, Word and Visio
  • Knowledge of technology fundamentals and concepts (Microsoft technologies preferred)
  • Knowledge of budget processes
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and managerial skills including the ability to motivate others
  • Ability to work well with others and complete tasks with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels and in diverse environments
  • Ability to manage risk
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to tailor communication style to different audiences, and to exercise good judgment in frequency and nature of communications to different parties (senior management, stakeholders, team members, etc.)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously
