Currently looking for a Senior Network & Security consultant to assist with the growth of the firm. Looking for someone who has an extensive technical background who also is confident in a client facing role to discuss future roadmaps. Looking for someone with industry (NERC) experience.



Position :

Network and Security Consultant to join our client-facing professional services team with a focus on client engagement, strategy and architecture development and evaluation of existing client solutions and processes against recommended strategies.

Job Description:

As part of our Solutions team, the consultant is responsible for leading new client engagements working with IT and business executives, management and subject matter experts. The consultant gathers requirements, evaluates existing solutions and processes and develops strategies and architecture to address client concerns. Strategies and architectures will comply with applicable regulations and industry best practices. The consultant will assist in developing proposals for projects to achieve recommended strategies and architectures.

The consultant coordinates with project managers to prioritize work and accomplish tasks within established project budgets and timelines. Other responsibilities include periodically assisting with technology design and engineering implementation services.

Responsibilities:

The purpose for this role is to provide consultative services to clients regarding their network and security strategies, architecture and governance practices.





Key tasks include:

• Interviewing business and technology stakeholders to determine goals and requirements
• Gather business objectives and translate into technical requirements
• Developing strategic initiatives and architectures aligned with the strategy
• Assess and audit client network and security infrastructure against published strategies
• Architect, design, and implement secure networks
• Manage relationships within the project team, clients and relevant stakeholders
• Recommend software, training, tools and other options to improve the individual and team skill set
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Engineer Skills & Competency Requirements:

• Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience architecting, designing, and implementing enterprise scale network and security solutions
    • 3 years consulting, strategy and roadmap development
  • Experience with complex routing designs, including designing and operating redistribution between different routing protocols.
  • Current Cisco CCIE preferred
  • Prior experience working in a NERC regulated environment and general familiarity with the regulations preferred

• Technical Skills:
  

  • Cisco WAN routing solutions: Viptella SD WAN and MPLS
  • Cisco LAN/WAN platforms: Nexus, ACI and Catalyst solutions
  • Wireless: Cisco wireless and cellular solutions
  • Cisco Client and Client authentication
  • Security: Cisco and Fortinet security solutions
