Senior Capital Markets Middle Office Specialist

Location: Hudson Yards, NYC, NY

Compensation Range : ($90,000-$145,000)



Fortune-50 Financial services client is seeking a Senior Capital Markets Middle Office Specialist with their growing Corporate and Investment Banking group. The Flow Equity Derivative Middle Office is primarily responsible for the daily support of the listed and OTC option trading desks, both for single name and index trading activity.



What You'll Do:

This role is responsible for the intra-day monitoring of trading activity and reconciliation, processing of life-cycle event updates, allocations, and assignments

Maintaining operational controls around live trading activity

Responsible for resolving amendment issues and inter-system breaks, P&L issues along with sales, trading and customer inquiries

Responsible for analysis of daily settlement issues, both position and cash, through validation and dispute analysis for various stakeholders

Work closely with various functions including: Trading, Sales, Finance, Compliance and Risk Management, Operations.

Participate in research and resolution of issues including, profit and loss generation, profit and loss attribution and trade capture

Identify opportunities to resolve complex confirmation and related trade issues

Review tactical business challenges related to complex derivative products

Receive direction from manager and exercise independent judgement while developing an understanding of procedures

Provide information to managers and the Capital Markets Middle Office



Skills / Experience You Will Need:

4+ years of Capital Markets industry experience

2 to 4 years of experience in the derivatives trade support/middle office areas

Derivative trade capture, analysis and operational support experience

Understanding of the front to back controls of derivative products

Experience with daily Listed and OTC derivative reconciliations

Ability to work in a fast paced environment and time constraints

Series 7/63 Registered

Strong communication and project management skills

Accounting experience
