Technical Project Manager

JOB PURPOSE

Seeking a highly technical Project Manager to assist with their SD-WAN Network project. The ideal candidate will have a PMP and experience with Silver Peak, Cisco switches & wireless, Solarwinds and AT&T.



This temporary position will help to ensure the North America team is able to perform the necessary analysis to ensure 2023 objectives and projects are aligned with creating visibility of the most critical improvement area for delivering a stable and secure network environment. This position will provide direct support for project-based solutions and includes implementation / deployment of various data network technologies and services.

• Previous ISP or internet-based company experience highly desired.
• Expert level Cisco command line knowledge.
• Fluent knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP, EIGRP, OSPF.
• Functional in Linux / Red Hat command line.
• Proficient in Managing infrastructure projects and knowledge of high-level infrastructure terms
• Team player with strong work ethic and excellent documentation skills.
• Superior troubleshooting skills of routing & switching networks
• CCNP or equivalent certification is preferred.
• PMP certification would put you at the top of the pile.
• 5+ years' experience with network capacity planning, network security principles

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform analysis of current network situation and collaboration with head of the team to provide input to monitoring and stabilization activities
• Assist head of team with the daily project management of network projects, status and issue tracking, resource alignment, reporting and communications.
• Assessing business and applications requirements for corporate data and voice networks
• Planning, designing and upgrading network installation projects
• Troubleshooting network architecture and making recommendations for system findings and enhancements
• Making recommendations for leveraging network installations and reducing operational costs
• Documentation and providing full detailed descriptions on existing and new sites so that the interface with the operations team is seamless.
• Establish and implement 'best-practice' standards as well as departmental policies and procedures.
• Manage multiple high priority initiatives in a fast paced highly technical environment
• Develop proper capacity plans to ensure appropriate bandwidth, latency, and availability.
• Maintain standards and best practices for network toolset environments with a focus on Fault Management and Capacity/Performance Monitoring tools.
  • Responsible for the design, install, configuration, and lifecycle management of all Network devices. [Load Balancers, Routers, Switches, NAC, VoIP Phone systems
• Write Policy and Procedures supporting network patch management configuration standards for routing, equipment, and software.
