TITLE: Quality Assurance Manager

Location: Franklin, TN

A growing industry leader in seafood distribution & wholesale; we are seeking a hands-on manager that will be directly responsible for all logistics and operational functions within the corporate office and revolutionary storefront brand. The ideal candidate will have experience with branded food products, seafood is preferred and manage a multitude of responsibilities such as dealing with FDA, UPS, packaging, GFSI, customer complaints, maintaining and collecting proper documentation from vendors, etc. this individual should be a motivated, self-started with the ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate must meet the following criteria:

  • Manage company's HACCP programs and maintain all HACCP-related records
  • Travel to supplier factories to develop specifications, and monitoring all factories audit requirements
  • Maintain company policies and procedures around topics including but not limited to supplier labor practices, supply chain sustainability, product date coding, and product recalls
  • Monitor policy changes from regulatory agencies (FDA, UDSA, etc.) and implement changes to procedures, packaging, etc. as needed
  • Develop and maintain a library of product specifications that include product forms, labels, packaging materials, and raw material requirements
  • Maintain all product data, including specification documents, GTINs/UPCs, product attributes, nutrition information, etc.
  • Managing relationships with suppliers and handle ongoing data synchronization efforts with customers
  • Perform in-house inspections of products via random sampling
  • Coordinate third-party food safety audits as well as social audits
  • Develop company's existing sustainability program to increase utilization of certifications

Skills/Experiences Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Two years minimum experience in FSQA, QA, food science, the seafood industry, or related area are required
  • Food safety or quality assurance experience preferred
  • Effective and strong written/verbal communication
  • High attention to detail
  • Must be able to effectively interact with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage long-term projects related to data quality and improvement of existing processes
