Responsibilities
- Manage and support the Monthly, Quarterly and Annual financial closings
- Analysis of monthly general ledger account activity, journal entries, accruals, variances to forecast, and reconciliation of various accounts.
- Oversight of standard costing, including in materials, labor and overheads.
- Develop cost of goods sold and production reports
- Maintain reconciliations with documentation
- Develop cost of goods sold and production reports
- Preparation of audit work for year-end audits with outside auditors and bank auditors
- Participate in annual budget preparation
- Ensure appropriate cross training throughout department
- Assist with special projects as requested
- Understands business implications and decisions, display orientation to profitability
- Contribute to profit and revenue by developing measures and monitoring performance vs monthly budget
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience in manufacturing; cost accounting preferred
- Thorough knowledge of financial statement preparation and GAAP
- Ability to execute multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Prioritizes and plans work activities and uses time efficiently
- Self-starter who can work independently as well as with others on a team
