TITLE: Controller
Location: Miami, FL
Compensation: 145k - 160k
A fintech lender company is looking for a Controller to manage a team of 5 plus 3 in collections
What You'll Do:
- Develop and maintain corporate accounting policies
- Draft comment letters on proposed accounting standards
- Prepare and disseminate information on new and emerging accounting and reporting matters to stakeholders
- Coordinate implementation of new accounting standards
- Prepare and conduct internal education sessions on new and proposed accounting and reporting standards
- Represent the Firm in external forums, including in meetings with standard setters, regulators, external auditors and industry groups
Skills / Experience You Will Need:
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience
- Enthusiasm and energy to work under tight deadlines and handle competing demands.
- Ability to understand and analyze complex transactions.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to clearly and concisely articulate technical accounting issues and conclusions
- Team player with excellent leadership skills
- CPA required (National public accounting exp. preferred)
