Job Description - Recruiter

Our client is a large renowned Automotive Management firm located in Bergen County, NJ. They specialize in the management of various luxury dealerships all around the tri-state area. They're looking for a highly skilled and capable Recruiter to help fill various talent acquisition reqs all over the company in different locations on the corporate and dealership side. This individual will work with multiple hiring managers on their needs and openings. In addition to having a successful track record in talent acquisition, prior knowledge and experience in utilizing and leveraging various job boards and software are crucial to the success of this role. Automotive experience is a HUGE plus. Responsibilities include creating and managing job postings across all platforms, identifying, interviewing, screening and presenting qualified candidates for contract and permanent positions.  A successful Recruiter is responsible for providing quality client services and serve as a partial job coach. Ultimately, help build upon their strong brand and ensure they provide a positive candidate experience. Their goal is to meet the human capital demands of the company as they grow.

 

Essential Functions

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to write job ads for current openings
  • Advertise job openings on careers pages, job boards and social networks (e.g. LinkedIn)
  • Design and implement employee referral programs
  • Use current applicant tracking tool and make recommendations for improvements
  • Recruit for valet, reception, sales, and service technicians
  • Source candidates through online channels (e.g. professional networks)
  • Screen resumes and applications and update hiring managers and candidates on hiring processes
  • Interview candidates during various hiring stages, including phone, first-round and second-round interviews
  • Evaluate candidates based on their interview, job function and cultural fit
  • Determine qualification criteria for each position
  • Analyze turnover and retention rates to forecast hiring needs
  • Update job descriptions (e.g. add tasks or modify requirements)
  • Answer candidates' queries regarding the application process
  • Provide interview feedback, when necessary and appropriate
  • Participate in job fairs to boost company's reputation
  • Help new hires onboard
  • Exercises the requisite discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.

       Required Skills

  • Solid understanding of full-cycle recruiting
  • Experience using various interview formats (e.g., phone, Skype, structured, group)
  • Ability to analyze skills assessments
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and resume databases
  • Good knowledge of labor legislation
  • High-energy and always looking to improve.
  • Self-starter that takes action without being instructed.
  • Strong interpersonal skills in influencing decision makers.
  • Persistence and superb follow up.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 

Required Education and Experience

  • BS in Human Resources or relevant field
